Exploring Caesar’s Head

This past weekend a bunch of us (10 Iron Yarders + Shakey the Dog) rideposted to Caesar’s Head, SC for some outdoor and hiking action. The park is just 3 miles from the North Carolina border, and nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We arrived to some wily-looking clouds, but managed to successfully avoid the rain for the duration of our hike.

The clouds ended up clearing out and we had an amazing day in the woods. We decided on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, which was an out-and-back hike to an overlook view of the Falls. The park is just a 45-minute drive from Greenville, which made us all wonder why we hadn’t done this already. Just goes to show you how an idea, accompanied with a bit of planning, can get you out and exploring new things in your own backyard.
